Municipalities in Ontario are permitted to establish by-laws (laws) under authority from the Municipal Act, 2001.
A By-Law is a rule (a law) made by your local government. Your municipal government passes by-laws to make the Township of Havelock-Belmont-Methuen a safe, quiet and pleasant environment for residents in the community.
